Hexavalent Chromium is a
known carcinogen otherwise known as chromium-6; originates
from industrial use such as the production of stainless
steel and textile dyes. In the presence of chlorine, chromium-3
can be transformed into harmful chromium-6.
Using methodology recently recommended by the USEPA for public water suppliers, the reporting limit is 0.06 parts per billion.
